Today we talk about the first appearance of Harcourt Fenton Mudd in Mudd's Women, where a group of women are travelling to meet, and marry, lonely dilithium miners.

Another early episode where they hadn’t had Spock’s character nailed yet was the one where Sulu was running through the ship shirtless with a fencing foil, and when Spock subdues him he quips: ”Take D’Artagnan here to Sickbay.” Spock often had very dry remarks later that came off humorous, but never in that deliberate snarky way (we’ll ignore ”I would advise Yousef to keep dialin’).
